Volunteers Opportunities & Changes

We are entering the final weeks of our skating season. These final weeks are the busiest for our skaters and our club! Without volunteers, much of the work becomes a large burden on only a few people. The more hands and feet, helps lessen the load for everyone.

The following events in March are in need of volunteers:

  • Test Session: March 7-8, 2019
  • Competition: March 8-9, 2019
  • Skating Show Set Up, Photos, Performances & More: Various Dates in March

For those of you who have participated in the annual FFSC show in past years, you know that our greatest need for volunteers was for locker room monitors. For the safety of our skaters and to be sure we follow SafeSport policies and procedures, volunteer locker room monitor positions will not be assigned  to volunteers this year. To adhere to SafeSport policies, all locker monitors must have a current background check on file and complete the SafeSport training. Our coaching staff and members of the club who meet these requirements will be used as locker room monitors during dress rehearsal and show performances instead of parent volunteers.

What does this mean? Your required volunteer hours need to be completed in another fashion this year.
