Spring 2025 Advanced Skater Registration

JANUARY 2, 2025-FEBRUARY 28, 2025

Please note that if your skater would like to be in the March 2025 Spring show, they must skate during the Spring 2025 Session. A show participation fee will be included at the time of registration if your skater will be participating in the Spring Show. Spring Show dates will be March 21-23, 2025 with dress rehearsal likely on March 20th.

Registration deadline is December 29th.

FALL ADVANCED SKATER NEWS & UPDATES

Competition Hotel Room Blocks

East Grand Forks: January 9-12, 2025
Holiday Inn Express and Suites

There are 2 types of rooms available. A standard room with 2 queen beds at the rate of $170 per night and an Executive Queen room which has 2 queen beds and a pull-out sofa sleeper for $185 per night.
Please note that cancellations require a 72-hour notice. To secure the group rate, guests must make their bookings by Friday, December 20th. Rooms not reserved by this date will be released, and any subsequent bookings will be subject to standard rates.

Duluth: January 16-19, 2025

The block includes standard rooms with 2 queen beds. Thursday night rate is $129 and the rate for Friday and Saturday night is $169
Please note cancellations must be made by 4pm the day of arrival and All reservations for this block must be made by December 17, 2024 or the booking will be subject to standard rates.

Holiday Break Ice

The Southern Valley Figure Skating Club, Wahpeton will have ice available during our Holiday break between our Fall and Spring sessions. FFSC will not be hosting any ice during this time.

Here is what ice time is available in Wahpeton:

Dec 21 7:30-10am
Dec 22 2:30-6:30pm
Dec 26 6:30-8pm
Dec 27 6-8am
Dec 28 7:30-10am
Dec 29 2:30-6:30pm

Cost for ice is $10 per hour. You can register on their website at www.svfsc.org. Or you can purchase a punch card online as well. Walk-ons are another option. However, if you plan to just walk on, be prepared to pay online when you arrive. You will need an Uplifter account through their website to pay for your walk on fees.

Club Communication

We will be communicating by email (MailChimp) and Remind notification system (see more details below) so make sure you check the email you registered with online frequently! You can also check our website at www.fergusfallsskatingclub.com Please also check for important information on our FFSC bulletin board at the rink. The ONLY time we cancel skating is when the rink is closed. You can listen to the radio for cancellations, check your email, Facebook or our website. Notification of cancellations and other important reminders will also be sent out via Remind. To subscribe to text message notifications via the Remind notification system, please send a text to 81010 with the message @ffadvsk8

Weather Announcements

The FFSC will send out a remind notification for any cancellations and our Facebook page will also show any weather related announcements. Both of these resources are great places to get the most current FFSC news. Although, the rule of thumb is that if Fergus Falls schools have been closed, so has the arena and all classes and ice blocks are cancelled.

Other Useful Information

The concession stand will be open most evenings at 5:30 pm. Charging will not be allowed at the concessions, but there is a prepaid system that can be used. There is also an ATM machine on the 2nd floor and a vending machine on the 1st floor of the arena.
